1. Core Principles

Quikk believes in truthful, straightforward transparency regarding browser technologies. Many websites present complex cookie policies describing tracking technologies they do not actually operate, or install intrusive cookie banners that serve no user privacy benefit.

This policy details the exact browser storage technologies used across our public websites (quikkride.com, quikkeats.com, and quikkbusiness.com) based on an empirical technical audit of our production code.

2. Public Website Storage Audit

Our audit of the public Quikk websites confirms the following technical architecture:

Verified Technical Findings:

No Advertising Cookies: We do not set or read third-party advertising, retargeting, or behavioral tracking cookies.
No Third-Party Analytics Trackers: We do not embed external analytics scripts, social media tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking beacons.
No Public Cookie Creation: Visitors browsing our landing pages, information sections, rates tables, or reading legal policies receive zero cookies generated by Quikk.
No Public LocalStorage Usage: Our public front-end user experience does not use localStorage or sessionStorage to track visitors.

3. Administrative Console Session Storage

The only area of our web properties utilizing local browser storage is the private Command Center (/admin.html), which is restricted to authorized Quikk internal personnel:

Firebase Authentication Tokens: When an authorized administrator signs in to review applicant submissions or support tickets, the Firebase Auth SDK utilizes browser IndexedDB and localStorage solely to securely persist the encrypted JSON Web Token (JWT) session.
Purpose: Maintaining active administrative session state and authorizing authenticated calls to Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage.
Recipient: Strictly internal administrative staff; never shared with third parties.

These administrative tokens are not cookies and are never accessed by or placed on the devices of everyday public visitors.

4. Cookie Banners & Consent

Because Quikk's public web properties do not use non-essential cookies, third-party trackers, or profiling technologies that require prior opt-in consent under global privacy regulations, we do not present decorative cookie banners.

We do not disrupt your reading experience with meaningless pop-up banners that collect no meaningful consent. If our technological stack changes in the future to introduce non-essential tracking cookies, this policy will be updated and lawful consent mechanisms will be implemented prior to deployment.

5. Mobile Application Storage

When you download and utilize upcoming Quikk mobile applications on iOS or Android, the application uses local sandboxed device storage to provide essential service capabilities:

Authentication Credentials: Securely keeping you logged in to your account.
App Preferences: Remembering UI language and display settings.
Temporary Caching: Caching menu thumbnails, restaurant logos, and map tiles locally to minimize mobile data consumption on local network connections.

Mobile device storage is isolated by the operating system sandbox and cannot be read across unrelated third-party apps.

6. Managing Your Settings

You can control or clear your browser’s cache, local storage, and history at any time through standard browser settings in Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. Clearing your storage will remove any cached assets (such as images and stylesheet files) without impacting your ability to browse our public websites.
